West Chester
The history of West Chester, Pennsylvania, began in 1762, with a tavern. One of the nation’s first railroads was built in West Chester in 1832, and a prominent courthouse, designed by Thomas U. Walter, was completed in 1847. In 1960 West Chester University took over the previous College. Today this growing town not far from Philadelphia has some of the best taverns, restaurants and bars around. Among these are many boutique shops of men’s & women’s clothing, artwork, furniture and specialty gifts. We brought our collection of boutique eyewear to the borough more than 10 years ago. The town has a vibrancy and rhythm to it making it feel like a little city.
